Chutney
Handmade chutney from Stade: Susann Till simmers apple, kale, celery & cranberry with fresh ginger and bay leaf. Around 90 per cent of the ingredients come from the region, many from the Altes Land orchard country, and spices from around the world make up the rest.
What sets this product apart
Savoury, sweet, hot, tangy, aromatic & fresh: this chutney shows every facet at once. That comes from apple, kale, celery, cranberry, vinegar, mustard seed, fresh bay leaf & fresh ginger, around 90 per cent from Lower Saxony, seasoned with lemon, curry, pepper & nutmeg from around the world. Different cutting techniques give it a texture of its own in the mouth: every ingredient can be tasted on its own. Thanks to organic fruit, almost everything goes into the pot; sustainability is part of the concept.
In 2012, at the age of 69, Susann Till set up her own business doing what she loves most: cooking unusual chutneys. Only what belongs goes in: little sugar, no preservatives, no artificial flavourings or colourings. Fruit, vegetables & fresh herbs come from farms around Stade, Celle & Oldenburg. Every chutney contains a heritage apple or pear variety that allergy sufferers can tolerate too, and all of them are vegan. Each jar comes with a little recipe on the website, for cooking, baking & seasoning.
A Lower Saxony explosion in the mouth.
Exciting aromatics, versatile in use.
