glücksatt Heimatpastete
A North German classic as a cold cut: the glücksatt Heimatpastete, literally a “homeland pâté”, translates broad beans, potatoes & bacon into a firm, sliceable cooked sausage, made with pork from Aktivstall welfare housing and pasture-raised beef. Produced by Schulte – Lastruper Wurstwaren in Lastrup.
What sets this product apart
In the finely ground base of pork from Aktivstall-reared pigs and pasture-raised beef, the pieces sit clearly visible, and each slice cuts clean. Cherrywood-smoked bacon brings seasoning and depth, broad beans add a nutty note, sweet potatoes bring natural sweetness and juiciness. No ingredient dominates, and flavour enhancers and artificial colourings are left out entirely. At the deli counter, the pâté stands out on looks alone.
glücksatt is a brand of Schulte – Lastruper Wurstwaren and has been bringing sausages and meat products from responsible, welfare-focused husbandry into food retail since 2018. The pork comes from the “Aktivstall für Schweine”, the active pig housing system initiated by Gabi Mörixmann: twice the space required by law, rooting areas with straw, outdoor terraces, showers & free farrowing, certified to Haltungsform 4 under the German husbandry label. Production takes place at the IFS Higher Level-certified plant in Lastrup.
A fine hybrid product of meat and plant from animal-friendly husbandry; good farming and good eating are well combined here.
Innovative ingredients in there, potatoes and bacon for instance, which are typical of the region too.
